Spring Sprung (framed)

Description

Cyanotype metamorphogram on archival tissue. 25 x 45 cm

This very personal unique piece has been with me for some time. It was the first metamorphogram I ever exhibited, and has since been included in multiple group and solo exhibitions in the UK and Portugal.

Folded as the origami model ‘Spring Into Action’ by Jeff Beynon, the work was left to gain experience for several weeks, resulting in the unique colour of the final image. This, combined with the visible creases, make this work intriguing, letting the viewer wonder what it must have looked like to become this way.

The work has been float-mounted to show the image right to all edges, and framed in white-washed wood with visible grain. The overall size of the frame is 45 x 65 cm. Note that the colour is not perfectly captured by the images. It is a more subtle golden brown in reality. More images can be provided on request.
