Cyanotype on vintage map. 11 x 11 cm
This work was exhibited for the first time as part of the exhibition ‘Objetos de Memória‘ (CABB, Fundacao Bissaya Barreto, Coimbra, Portugal) in 2024.
A vintage map of Yorkshire (UK) was used as a negative to print onto another vintage map. This plays with ideas about memory of place, hidden histories and changing cultural identity. These themes are reflected in works such as M John Harrison’s ‘The Sunken Land Begins To Rise Again’.
